AgTap Water is free through the end of 2026. Starting in 2027 it moves to simple per-acre pricing, billed once a year — pennies an acre, one bill, no monthly drip. Final pricing will be posted here before anyone is charged, farms already on AgTap hear first, and early farms get the best rate we'll ever offer. Two things that won't change: no surprise charges (there's no card on file to charge), and nobody ever gets locked away from their own data.
No. AgTap runs in the browser on any iPhone, Android, or computer — open agtap-water.web.app and sign in. For the full-screen app feel, use your phone's Add to Home Screen and it lives next to your other apps.
Yes — it was built on a farm with dead zones. AgTap saves everything to your phone first, then syncs to the cloud when signal comes back. Mark a well started at the far end of the field and it's recorded; the rest of the crew sees it when your phone finds bars again.
AgTap doesn't run on a computer in our shop — it runs on Google's cloud, the same infrastructure that runs Gmail. On top of that:
Nobody honest promises "unhackable." What we can say is your field maps and well notes sit behind the same security as your email — and the best thing you can do on your end is use a real password and keep the owner login to yourself (that's what crew links are for).
You own your farm data — full stop. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with input suppliers, insurers, lenders, or landlords. If you ever leave, you can request a full export and deletion of your account. The one exception worth being straight about: if AgTap the company were ever sold, your account and data would transfer with the service — under the same promises, with notice to you, and with the same right to export and walk away. It's all in the Terms in plain words.
No accounts, no per-seat charges. The whole crew signs in with the farm's crew access, and for someone who just needs directions today, you text them a share link — they see the map you shared, nothing else, no app needed. You can revoke any link whenever you want.
Two ways today: draw them right on the map (a few minutes per field), or upload a shapefile if you have one from FSA or another program. You only do this once. Stuck? Email help@agtap.com and we'll get them in with you.
No — and that's deliberate. Starting or stopping a well in AgTap records information so everyone's on the same page; it doesn't switch anything on or off. Your equipment stays under your control, period.
Your data stays yours. Ask and we'll export everything and delete your account. We will never hold a farm's records hostage.
